We've already shown you the many different ways you can use Yes Superfood powders to boost your food and drinks with color and nutrients. But there's a question we get all the time: how do you use Yes Superfood powders for maximum efficacy?
The goal is everyday use
Yes Superfood powders, just like any other food supplement, have an impact only if you consistently take the daily recommended intake. The daily recommended intake is usually 1 gram, but in the case of our freeze-dried fruit powders β such as Dragon Fruit Powder and Sea Buckthorn Powder β the daily recommended intake is 2 grams.
The fastest method
If your everyday life is hectic, the easiest and fastest way is to mix the superfood powders with water. Blue Spirulina and Activated Charcoal have a soft, powdery texture that blends very well into a glass of room temperature water. You can make tea with Butterfly Pea and Ceremonial Matcha by mixing them with warm water (max. 80Β°C). Dragon Fruit and Sea Buckthorn powders are harder to mix evenly into water β but you can also take them on their own, allowing the vitamins to be absorbed directly through the mucous lining of your mouth.
When should you consume the superfood powders?
For the most efficient nutrient absorption, it's best to consume the superfood powders in the morning on an empty stomach, or start your day with a breakfast made with superfood powders. The exception to this rule is Butterfly Pea Powder, which is best enjoyed in the evening.

Yes Superfood powders are incredibly versatile β you can mix them into almost any food or drink. Below, we've collected some tips on how to maximize their health benefits.
Blue Spirulina Powder
To make the most of Blue Spirulina's muscle recovery and stamina-boosting effects, combine it with protein-rich foods. For example, you can stir it into yogurt or add it to your post-workout protein shake. Take Blue Spirulina in the morning for the best absorption.
Dragon Fruit Powder
Dragon Fruit Powder can actually be taken on its own β it has a very pleasant, sweet taste and a crystalline texture that's easy to chew. If you're dealing with digestive or gut issues, combine it with fruits, vegetables, and grains that are rich in fiber. A bowl of oatmeal made with plant milk, Dragon Fruit Powder, and fresh fruit makes an amazing start to the day, as does a Dragon Fruit smoothie.
Butterfly Pea Powder
To fully enjoy Butterfly Pea Powder's calming and relaxing effects, try a delicious warm latte before bed. Heat up 200 ml of plant-based milk (max. 80Β°C) and mix in Β½ teaspoon of Butterfly Pea Powder using a milk frother. Sweeten it with a dash of cinnamon or agave syrup for the perfect evening wind-down.
Ceremonial Matcha Powder
Ceremonial Matcha is made from green tea leaves and contains caffeine, so we recommend consuming it in the morning or early afternoon. Swap your morning or afternoon coffee for a delicious matcha latte β trust us, your body will thank you! Even just 1 gram of Ceremonial Matcha a day is enough to support its fat-burning and metabolism-boosting benefits. Heat up 200 ml of plant-based milk (max. 80Β°C) and mix in Β½ teaspoon of Ceremonial Matcha using a milk frother. During the warmer months, you can make it with cold milk and ice cubes instead β the benefits stay the same!
Activated Charcoal Powder
Thanks to Activated Charcoal's strong detoxifying effects, we primarily recommend taking it as a cure. Since it can interfere with the absorption of other active ingredients, do not take Activated Charcoal one hour before or two hours after medication, birth control, or other food supplements.
